Although
much of our domestic work is involved in the conversion,
refurbishment, extension and re-organisation of existing
buildings, we provide our same user-friendly service in
the design of new houses for private individuals and developers.
We
take a pride in ensuring that our new houses are designed
sensitively. Thus they meet client requirements, fit comfortably
into their surroundings and allow flexibility in future
use to reflect the changing needs of the occupants. We
also endeavour to adopt as many energy saving features
and materials that the client is happy with.
By
careful consideration of the design, orientation and interaction
between house and garden, we ensure that the best use
is made of the setting available, and that we do indeed
provide that ‘added value’ to homes designed
by us, be they in new or existing buildings.
Current
projects are at varying stages of the design and construction
process, from initial sketch design to just completed
on site. They include the following:
Re-organisation
of existing homes, usually for new owners, but often for
those who have failed to upgrade their homes for some
time, and wish to carry out a major overhaul
Small housing projects for 2 or 3 houses on brown field
sites, one for a developer, and two for a Diocesan Board
of Finance
Affordable housing for a Housing Association
Numerous barn conversions for private individuals and
two for developers
A new dwelling for a dependent relative in the grounds
of a listed building
Three new houses/bungalows for individual clients in village
settings
A new dwelling for an agricultural worker
All
projects are treated with the same care and attention
to detail.
